Happy Wednesday, Bitcoiners!

Bitcoin Transactions Soar to Dazzling New Heights!

So, guess what? Bitcoin miners are flocking like crazy to the network, causing the Bitcoin hash rate to skyrocket to a mind-boggling 439 exahashes per second (EH/s). Daily transaction volume on the Bitcoin blockchain has gone over 682,000, with more than 300,000, uh, "ordinals" added. Crazy, right?

The insane hash rate shows everyone's pumped about Bitcoin's security.

Now, here's a curveball: the rise in Bitcoin's hash rate might just be a fluke. Why? Well, it seems like these fancy-schmancy Bitcoin "Ordinals" are to blame. They're basically unique, nonfungible tokens on the Bitcoin network that are all the rage among collectors and enthusiasts.

But get this: on May 1st, the number of inscriptions hit 350,000, bringing the total ordinals to a whopping 3 million. While some think this is a cool new way to engage with the Bitcoin ecosystem, others, like our pal Adam Back, think it's just a pointless fad. We will have to wait and watch!
