🚀 Bitcoin Network Demand Soars, Proving Bitcoin's Unstoppable Growth or an Attack on Bitcoin?
Hold on to your hats, folks! The Bitcoin network is experiencing unprecedented demand, with jaw-dropping 400,000+ transfers in the mempool as of May 7. This digital traffic jam clearly indicates the surging interest in Bitcoin, with a mind-blowing 343% increase in transaction fees over the past 11 days.
The network's growing congestion is due to the massive influx of Ordinal inscriptions and BRC20 tokens, highlighting the versatility of Bitcoin. Now hosting over 13,000 BRC20 tokens and a staggering 4.17 million Ordinal inscriptions. This surge in activity demonstrates the expanding use cases for Bitcoin and its underlying technology.
Whereas some bitcoiners argue that it’s an attack on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is under DoS attack. High transaction fees are the chosen pain point by the attacker, probably to makes bitcoin unusable for smaller players.
